I just complete it, and I was a little perturbed by the ending...well, more to the point of how Final the ending is. Don't want to spoiler anything, but I would very much would have like to "fel" like a hero at the end with cheering crowds...but that's just me wanting to get my ego stroked. Also...I'm curious to see if Bioware plans on launcing any more DLC, because I doubt it, with the way this game ends...

really?  I haven't beaten it yet, but they would have to have a pretty complete ending to not be able to release anymore DLC.  I think Bioware said they had a 2 year plan for DLC too.  So I don't think we are done with the DLC quite yet, but I also haven't beaten it yet.  So I'll see what you are talking about soon enough.

Yeah...I remember them saying hte same thing as well, which kinda surprised me about how this game ended...Well...to aviod any spoilers, I'll say it wasn't the gameplay portion that ended strange, but instead, it was the end of game written story pages that somewhat contradicted some portions of the actual gameplay....

Yea they really tried to wrap things up with the ending in this one.  So it will be interesting to see any new DLC, and if there is I would assume it would be stand alone like Awakening was.

well, I just beat it.  I didn't really feel like they couldn't do another DLC after the ending, although the ending was kind of weak.  I think there is plenty of room to add more story on here.  However, they may have to do a bit of stretching, but that is kind of what they did with this expansion anyway.  The beginning was pretty rough.

I would be just as happy if they just released DLC that added to these two stories.  They don't really need to do another expansion.  I think Bioware needs to learn how to do DLC from Bethesda.

Yeah...Awakening begins somewhat right after the end of the original game, so there's no timeline space in between Awakenings and it to place another big DLC, so that only leaves room after Awakenings.  Now, once again, without spoilers, the endgame narrative points to possible adventures in Orlais, or with the Qunari or even Antiva.  The issue is how you'll be able to port your character over to sequels, which is now a halfmark of Bioware RPGs.

Yea don't get me wrong, I would love for them to do more with DA but like you said it would def need a stretch.  Like a real big stretch because of my ending I had.

I was saying they should do the stand alone expansion because I just want more content and not like a few hours and there but like a full game.  I think I spent like 11-12 hours including end game with Awakening.  And I didn't finish like half of the side quests.  And I was very satisfied with I had to pay for the game.

And I do agree that Bethesda has a great model with their DLC.

Hopefully, Bioware will have some news at E3 on what's on tap for DA and ME inthe coming year.

I enjoyed this game very much and gave a 9.0 for it (played on PS3). I wish DA:O 2 have much better production values. Final Fantasy is still a king on that area. DA:O FMVs are horrible, resolution is DVD quality and it pales in comparisson with 1080p Final Fantasy XIII CGs. There is no excuse to show a low quality video when it is using a blu-ray. I hope more and more developers change focus of development. Who played it on PC? Is video quality bad too?

Frankly, I barely recall any CG in Dragon Age Origins.

^^^ I was thinking the same thing...sorry, but that's a MAJOR turn off for me, and yet another reason why I hate JRPGs.

yeah, CG means nothing. Gameplay is king, which I would say Dragon Age is years ahead of FFXIII.
