Epic’s Mark Rein has gotten back to VG247 following today’s Gears of War 3 rumour. What did he say?

Simply put: “You’re kidding, right?”

It was reported this afternoon by Edge that the sequel will be coming on April 8, 2011, with a teaser trailer that would build up the hype in the next three weeks on the same date the game was supposedly due a year later.

But you may consider that rumour shat and pissed on, and then buried out back.

That statement could be taken in several ways. One of which would be taking it as meaning, "Did you really just ask if I would verify a rumor about a Gears 3 trailer and release date?".

.....whats with all these rumors for awesome games getting shot down lately? Theres been a ton of rumors about awesome games being announced for PS3 and the 360 but they keep getting shot into oblivion.

Color me dissapointed and E3 better pack a big bang to make up for this months depressing rumor fails.

I clicked on this thinking it was god of war 3 lol rofl (easy mistake to make when one of the PS3's biggest releases got released today also known as GOW3) I think it is daft putting GOW3 in god of war's prime time
