The great thing about the ODST halo 3 multiplayer disk I found was that the maps from the map packs loaded faster off the dist then they would off the hdd with the original halo 3. Don't know why. But then again halo 3 works better when it isn't installed.

You don't save Halo3 to the HDD.

It takes longer to load. It's one of a handfull of games which this happens to and MS tell you not to install.

I already said that.

It truly was a great expansion. Not Brood War good. But damn close.

...for criticizing the price of ODST. Now before you bash this thread read my points and tell me you don't agree. For $60 you get:

1. Brand new campaign (on the somewhat short side 6-8 hrs but up to 10 hrs with exploration)

2. Firefight mode (all new multiplayer mode similar to Gears of War's Horde)

3. Every Map Pack released for Halo 3 (total of 24 multiplayer maps)

4. Halo 3 multiplayer (for new 360 owners who haven't purchased Halo 3 yet this is huge..you can play Halo 3 online without buying it)

4. Access to Halo:Reach Beta (arguably worth $60 itself)

...and Activision owes us an explanation.  For $15 you get:

1. 5 multiplayer maps (2 of which are on MW1)

So honestly ODST is not such a bad deal after seeing how Activision wants to rip us off on this new map pack.

1. Campaign was good (10$)

2. Good when it wasnt lagging ( $5)

3. They ODST us! (If you dont have Halo 3 then 10$)

4. They ODST us!

4. Maybe 5$

The game should of been sold at no more than $30

I personally i dont think its worth $60 but that can be said of a lot of games now a days.

I Hate the fact that all these pillows are contaminated by retard!!

seriously anyone that says it was worth 60$ is just crazy, umm gta expansions cost 20 FREAKING dollars and came with a 8 hour campaign and NEW multiplayer...are you guys seriously gonna tell me, that a new campaign with all the SAME multi maps you ALREADY bought is worth it...no i dont think so, and btw, your not gonna be playing firefight for more than a week...i freaking love halo, its my favorite fps this gen and the reason why i would ever own a 360, but this was just a rip-off, no matter how you spin it

oh and yeah the new map pack for cod is a ripoff imo as well, and i wont be buying that either ^_^

The Orange Box:

1. 15 hour campaign
2. 4 hour campaign
3. 5 hour campaign
4. Best puzzle game ever
5. Completely new multiplayer game (now with tons of maps)
6. Incredible amount of free mods
Cost when new: 50$

Just because the ODST deal seems reasonable compared to the MW2 map pack doesn't make it good value for money.

Well it's Halo so it's going to get hate from non-players no matter what

ODST was mostly criticised for it's price point.I think it would've got a higher Metacritic if it had been priced at an expansion pack level.

As for Activision...rip off merchants. I hope the map pack massively undersells but it won't.
