$60 is still not worth if u bought all the halo 3 maps... 3-4 hrs sp

Ok well if you bought every map pack then I guess it was than less of a stellar deal. Even if you did purchase every available map pack it still shipped with 3 brand new maps exclusive to ODST...so according to Activision match that is $9 right there. And 3-4 hrs? Are you coming up with this number off the top of your head or did you play easiest mode and run through it without shooting enemies? Its minimum 6 hrs and thats playing through it fast. Took me 10 hrs with exploration and playing on a harder difficulty which is how it should be played.

Still with firefight mode and 5 maps for that....$15 worth in activision math.

It was worth a $8 dollar rental that is all.

Microsoft spit in our faces with this one not Bungie they announced it would be less than $60 originally.

i never thought of ODST as an expansion , since the single player is different.
for Multiplayer fans it IS an expansion therefore not worth the 60 bucks.

Not worth $60 if you ask me..

Also... Notre Dame sucks and Canes are the best mmkay? =p

Uh no Irish are the best sorry. :) Tradition wins my friend. Brian Kelly will have us back in the promised land soon enough.

Also according to your profile you don't own a 360 so how can you comment if its worth it or not?

...for criticizing the price of ODST. Now before you bash this thread read my points and tell me you don't agree. For $60 you get:

1. Brand new campaign (on the somewhat short side 6-8 hrs but up to 10 hrs with exploration)

2. Firefight mode (all new multiplayer mode similar to Gears of War's Horde)

3. Every Map Pack released for Halo 3 (total of 24 multiplayer maps)

4. Halo 3 multiplayer (for new 360 owners who haven't purchased Halo 3 yet this is huge..you can play Halo 3 online without buying it)

4. Access to Halo:Reach Beta (arguably worth $60 itself)

...and Activision owes us an explanation.  For $15 you get:

1. 5 multiplayer maps (2 of which are on MW1)

So honestly ODST is not such a bad deal after seeing how Activision wants to rip us off on this new map pack.

3 and 4 are useless for everyone who has Halo 3 then, since they had that already

your second number 4, was that already known when the game came out? If not, not valid, as people did not pay that money because of some distant beta. If it is true, then it's paying for something that's free anyway...

1 and 2 do not justify 60 dollars. Besides, before the game came out and the price went to 60 dollars, every fan justified it. Afterwards, most then pointed to "it's only an expansion pack" when the 'low' sales were criticized. If it's an expansion pack, 60 dollars is overpriced.

3. The only way to own one of the map packs(half actually) was to buy the legendary edition of Halo Wars($80)

4. My Halo 3 disc I played so much that it was all scratched up :P

4. Yes, it was known

Low sales?!?!?!

The beta isn't free because if you don't own ODST you aren't playing it..simple as that.

^ Not true Halo 2 players will get an invitation aswell..

Still wondering how that is going to work out.

I recommend to buy the halo map packs and atleast Halo reach the book with that money but who am I :).

I have halo 3 and the maps in odst were very usefull as I didn't have them.

Low sales? isn't it close to 5 million? I suppose that is low for 360. The only ones who complained about the price and it being an expansion pack were sony fanboys who didn't read all of what bungie said or maybe did but deliberatly chose to ignore it.

Lots of non 360 (but ps3) owners saying its not worth it.
In their expert opinion.
And the 360 boards aren't trolled.

Because he owns a PS3 and they know more about the 360 than owners do.

And it's always negative.
