Forums - Gaming - Final fantasy 13 Screen tearing and laggy.

Hi

Iv been having issues with final fantasy 13 that iv been playing it on my ps3. In every cutscene theres like 2 invisible lines cutting through my screen and lots of lag. when im running around and battling theres no lag but the lines appear if i spin the camera around.

I took the game back and got a replacement still same issue, tried on 2 ps3's and 3 different tv's ( none of which were high def tho)

can anyone help me?

Please NO comments like "get it on xbox" cause i don't have an xbox and dont plan on getting one.

try it on a high def tv ;)

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

The only Lag I get is exiting out of save panel... I cant move for about 5secs it happens everytime

@ serious_frusting.

my friend is playing his on a hi def and also having same issue or tho not using an hdmi cable.

@ xxian

i get that as well but thats not an issue, its the lag and screen tear thats really ruining the game for me im up to chapter 9 and its happened to me since the first cutscene.

I get the same thing on an HD TV (not a high quality one though) with an HDMI cable.

Is your's quite bad? iv been looking all over the net for a solution but everyone's saying to try different things. iv also heard of it wrecking peoples ps3 making them not be able to play any other games.

Probably the game has no vertical synchronization enabled... but that would be very weird, since I think this is the first time I've heard this complaint...

Did you get the game for your region? Or is your TV/Ps3 set with the correct refresh settings? (Don't know if that can be changed in the PS3?

Mine was enough to annoy me at first, but I am getting used to it.

Type it into google the problems are showing up all over the net now, iv mucked around with the settings on my ps3 but my tv is SD with very little options apart from changing brightness and all that kinda stuff.
