Forums - Sony - Insomniac Response To Multiplatform Rumors

Clearly they can go multi if they want.

But the way I look at it they have preferential treatment from Sony, have an engine and tools that (currently) are built from the ground up for PS3 console, and their current core ip's are all owned by Sony (so far as I know).

My conclusion, it's going to take a lot of momentum for them to decide to go multi-platform, unless they stay on track with the core stuff they have but use their new studio to built something multi-platform.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Insomniac is like Bungie

Unh. Careful. Not quite buddy.

Yeah they are. For quality of games and for having similar relationships with their publisher.

I was talking from a importance point of view. Reach is likely to sell 12 mill+. M$ would hurt far more for losingBungie than Insomniac going multiplat.

Bungie is probably more important to Microsoft due to their lack of First Party Studios. I have a feeling if Halo: Reach was developed by another studio it would still sell bucketloads. And Reach is not going to sell more than 5M you people need to stop boosting.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

I will take a bet on that. I actually think it will pass 14 mill+.

The beta will be more played than Halo 3's beta. Reach will have the best multiplayer FPS on console by far to date. It will destroy all other Halo's in SP. And be hugely technically impressive.

Please take the bet. It's almost to easy to win this one.
