If true then all that shit going on with 50FPS is pretty amazing.

Um do you know what MLAA does?
Give you a hint. It's very similar to the results QSAA gives.
MLAA causes blurred texturs my friend. Why and what will cause this?
MSAA is designed completely different from MLAA.
MLAA like QSAA is designed for a much less performance hit on the system it's running on. Which is good if a system cannot run Supersampling at a decent framereate.
MLAA works only for clean lines. How it achieves this is by colour blending. It fills in around the lines by blending the colours of the 2 colours that meet. This, especially when lines on small objects are close to high texture detail will result in poor texture quality.
MLAA does a great job of making edges look clean. But sacrifices texture quality. In many respects MLAA does do a better job on the edges than MSAA, but deteriorates tectures whereas MSAA will never blur textures.
It's a win lose situation. And considering Gamersyde state quite clearly on their playthrough of Alan Wake that there was no aliasing occuring, means that the 4xMSAA used in Alan Wake did it's job perfectly whilst 'NOT' blurring the texture quality like QSAA or MLAA. My PC cant run high end AA, but mymate has MLAA, QSAA and MSAA as options in his heavily modded Crysis copy. It's very very clear a whole image, MSAA does the game more favours, as although MLAA looks slightly better on edges. The textures pale in comparison to MSAA.
Holy S...
This news has me so excited, I got to touch myself ...

But...but....I thought the all people who posted had superior grasp on manners, and were balanced? LOL.
This post: - Massive trollage? CHECK. - Detailed annoyance? CHECK. - Lots of annoying bullet points the screen at once? CHECK. - 4x the wastage of my time? CHECK. - All of this and still not up to 45-50 forum posts? CHECK. (see profile)
SophandaCox post attempt = BUST.
No worries, SophandaCox can still have a good spot in this forum with decent posts eventually, but has a good chance of getting a banned who post like Crazzy, Omarichu and Blig Merk.

Intention of Soph's post accomplished.... check.
50 fps at 720p, I'm so impressed.
| Theo said: And it only uses 50% of the PS3, right? xD |
It uses 100% All games do. Otherwise why did they drop 1080p, and 50fps instead of 60 fps. The dev in furute through programming may develop their engine to work better therefore put the PS3 to better use, but GOW3 is running at 100%.
Also, it's not strictly MLAA on PS3. As the SPU's cant do Vertex processing, it is missing the vertex computations of MLAA. In effect it's a more clever use of QSAA on the PS3. Essentially, Edge detction/Blur filter.
Ok, call me not with it, but I still think the original PS2 God of War looks real good.
