Forums - Sony - Judge throws out God of War copyright Lawsuit.

A couple of years ago, it was reported that screenwriters Jonathan Bissoon-Dath and Jennifer Barrette-Herzog, were filing a lawsuit against Sony Computer Entertainment and David Jaffe for allegedly stealing ideas and concepts from a script that they had given to Sony Pictures and putting them into God of War.

A California federal judge has now thrown out the claim by the two individuals stating that although the screenplay and God of War had scenese with similar content, such instances are "stock elements that have been used in literary and artistic works for years, if not millennia." She added that these elements "pointed to no persuasive similarity in dialogue or narration that would suggest actual copying."
