well i wanted to play a little online game of Team Fortress, but it seems i cannot connect, it says "unable to connect to the EA servers do you want to try again? "

because of the recent support fail from EA and shutting down LoTR servers among other games, did this game shut down too?

They shouldn't have. They would have made an announcement, and it probably would have been big news. Their hamster probably just had a heart attack.
