Nice work Microsoft. Mass Effect 2 probably played a role in this.

I expect April-September to be good for 360 as well (In the Americas)... Alan Wake (May), Splinter Cell Conviction (April), Crackdown 2 (July - Just noticed Gamestop dated it for early July).

Sony hasn't got much of an exclusive lineup for spring and summer after next week's GoW III release. Modnation Racer looks to be the only interesting one for June relase.

I think something with Wii and PS3 shortages had a good deal in this, along with Mass Effect 2. If you go to a store and don't see a PS3 there yet want a new system, are you really gonna wait to get one? Most inpulse buyers will get the system thats available to them. MS played their cards right in Feb, hope they can do the same in March (at my retailer It's looking more and more likely MS can win March as well. Wii and PS3 are still in shortage troubles.)



It's just that simple.

In terms of strategic importance (obviously not overall sales levels), the US is probably at least 2 times as important as the rest of the world combined.
