The actual source of the information: www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20071119/sqex.htm The only actual mention of FF XIII and The White Engine is actually specifically saying the rumors about work on the engine being stopped are false and work is proceeding as before. Somehow this got translated into the direct opposite. Sorry Sony haters you're going to have to celebrate something else... At least one of the only 3 games left to come out on the PS3 is fine...

Could Onna or Ykoron confirm it directly from japanese ?

There is in the article a paragraph title in bold that say ( transalted by google ) :
"White engine, the development is stagnant."

No one as ever said that White Engine development is stopped only that procede at slow pace ...

And no I'm not a Sony hater

The article says they are working out some issues, but most people went from that to the engine is dead or dying... They were asked about rumors of the engine's death and said 'no'.

I read recent reports that for Japan it will be 2008 (End of the year? For the rest of the world that could mean 2009)
