FFXIII to X360: symbolicly one of the biggest blows to japanies style gaming fans. we watched forebodingly as the American x360 became increasingly popular and gaming was catering more and more to the west. The Japanies art style with its charming and quirky characteristics was being watered down. Then came the fatefull announcement: FFXIII, the king of jrpgs and a prince of Japanies gaming fell to the West. We watched in horror as the game was put on the very system that was destroying what we loved so much. it was the end of an era...
x360 fans may gloat over this but maybe they can try to understand a little as to why this event hurt so many people.

That's real irritating.
So, Japanese gaming crumbled because FF went to an American made console for compatibility's sake? So more people could play the game? It was still dominant on the PS3, so quit the belly aching and the justification for blatant and pathetic fanboyism. This is not a national or cultural downfall. This kind of thinking that exclusivity is somehow link to cultural pride/importance, frankly, sucks and is nausiating.
This "West" and "East" shit is counter productive to our betterment as human beings. Who does it have to stay nippon, or be true to Japan to not hurt people's feelings? That if it "falls to the west" then a nation dies? That's rediculous! Those people, need to stop being so narrow minded, as to being wounded that a game becomes more WIDELY AVAILABLE to people other than Japanese product worshiping douchlettes. The more that get to play the game, the better - it has NO affect on you.
No, I'm not generalizing. There's no other reason people would get emotionally scarred, other than selfishness (wanting to be entitled and be able to exclusively play games to elevate themselves over others) and xenophobic retardedness that just needs to shrivel up and die already. Quit crying, quit booing, grow the hell up, have a nice day.
