Forums - Sony - Should I buy Bioshock 2 Special Edition?

I can either buy the special edition or buy 2 games like heavy rain and ff13. But im not sure. The special edition looks really good and very good quality. i know i will gewt ff13 and heavy rain for sure later this year but the special edition might eventually be sold out. So do you think i should get the special edition of bioshock 2?

I've got the edition that came in the big black box, I think that's the one you're referring to?

came with hardbound artbook, LP with Bioshock score and CD with Bioshock2 score.
also came with some posters.
awesome quality, even if it's just for the artbook, it's that good.
get it, imo.

id would rather get two games instead of one special edition, i mean its not worth it imo, now if it was pandoras box *GOWIII SE* then thats a different story ^_^

yeah, no kidding. I saw the Bioshock 2 limited edition but frankly I'd go for something more substantial a-la GOWIII special edition.

MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND >.
I'm not saying asking for recommendations are bad, but you've made more than one of these threads in quick succession, and the title and OP don't sound like you looking for perspectives, but just orders.

It is your money and your decision. I personally would not buy CE for console games. PC CE have been sold for huge profits if kept in boxes and never opened.

Bioshock 2 is indeed an excellent game. Borderline AAA game with a high 80's review average score on metacritic.

Recently, I've been getting the special editions. yeah, they're more pricey - sometimes twice the price, but I feel I get more bang for my buck, like the sweater for the new Tekken, the cheesey gold USB flash disk from Saints Row 2 (old now, I know but w/e) or even just the extra DVD that came with the Death edition of Dante's Inferno.

I don't really know why. It's probably the same reason I try not to buy platinum/greatest hits releases. it just feels more...complete if you know what I mean.

I certainly don't get them for investment purposes.

The Special Edition is nice and everything that comes with it is nice, but the box is really freaking huge and pretty thick! (I have the 360 Bioshock 2 Limited Edition, but besides the actual game the LE's should be the same I'm assuming.) Make sure you have somewhere you can put it if you do get it.

I took a bad quality pic awhile back (with my cell phone) comparing the B1 dvd case to B2 SE if you want to see a rough size comparison:

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"
