why is that? there are shortages and the system is just about at the break-even point so I don't see why not.

Because they cost money to produce  and second they cost money to stock and money to transport.

Don't forget that every dollars counts and we are talking millions, witch if not wisely used can turn into a lot of loss in profit.

so they pay a lot of money to estimate numbers just so they don't overship and they don't lose a lot more money.

 

But with all the potential systems sellers being released this year I don't why they couldn't increase production by at least a small amount.There seems to be enough demand to warrant such an action.

yeh thats great for them :P

maybe the demand will die down during the holidays, so a price cut can happen (though thats not a good thing, but a sliver lining if Natal owns the PS3)

some how I feel this year is like 08 all over again :P
