CGI & Encoded nibble - 100,000million gazzillion dollars says you are both from north america.

Because no one else from any other country would care about using that word. I can't belive i even just said "that word" thats hilarious. But in the interest of keeping the peace, and respecting others wishes, i will not mention said word.

What would be the point of that? Every game doesn't need that aiming systme, and thank goodness they don't all use it. FPS games are so alike as is. Killzone 2, like Half-Life 2, was something fresh. It didn't feel like sny other FPS title.

The AIMING system, not the whole game... the thing that made Half-Life 2, or Halo 3 or COD great is not the unique aiming sytems it is the story the art style, the atmosphere, the fun factor, blah blah blah... the aiming system is just a tool, and it needs to be as good as it can be and not unique by itself

I know what you meant and stand by the post. YOU not liking Killzone 2's aiming system doesn't make it bad. It's just, obviously, not for you.

I don't giove a damn where anyone is from, as that's irrelevant. Bottomline is, the word is offensive and if it is, it shouldn't be used nor tolerated.

I see that you're going to respect the wishes, good, but don't single anyone out for where they may/may not be from. It's another form of prejudice.

CGI seriously, learn to lighten up a little, you'll live longer.

Words are just words.

 

I have no problems with words.

 

I have problems with racists a-holes who use particular words to be racist.

 

The person using the word in this thread probably didn't mean it in a way to be racist but he used in the sense as he wanted to make fun of the person in the video for looking like and behaving a certain way which is most often associated with a certain race of people.  The word doesn't offend me if it was used as a way of describing characteristics of someone.  words offends me when they are used to describe someone with disdain and ridicule.

 

For example I have an austic, epileptic and down-syndrome brother.  I don't mind it when people call him retarded as a way of describing, in English, some of his conditions because those words accurately describe his condition; his development is retarded relative to people without the condition.  I mind people using the word retard to describe people who are dumb and doing stupid things (i.e. "Dude that's so retarded...")  because they are using the word in a hateful and disrepectful manner.  Also, using retarded to describe something without referencing what it is retarded with respect to is also just dumb :).  Kapisch?

I did play the demo for KZ2 and I wasn't very impressed with graphics or controls.

I'm also way burned out on FPS and have been since Quake 2.
