Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 will be releasing new map packs on the same day (March 30th).
Bad Company's map pack will have 2 new maps (1 for conquest, 1 for rush). It will be free for everyone whose entered into the VIP program.
Modern Warfare 2's map pack doesn't have any details released yet. It will likely cost the usual 800 points.
Here's the question;
which will you get and prefer?
Well MW2 obviously since I don't own BC2. Tho I'm not sure if I'll even get it at this point if they are 800 pts if they are just straight ports of MW1 maps. I'll wait and see.
It's just that simple.
Ill be getting BC2 map pack. Tho i wonder if this will be like the 2 maps released at launch...which weren't downloadable but unlocked...so im wondering if these maps are also on the game disc and just need to be unlocked. Either way im very happy to see the support Dice/EA are doing.
side note: Did you know their still charging 800 points for the only map pack for COD4?! WTF?!

MW2 map pack comes with remakes of Overgrown and Crash as well as 2 new maps.

I was wondering about that the other day. not surprised they're still charging 800 for it. that map pack wasn't even that good to begin with.

I liked the new maps..minus chinatown. But i thought it was a decent map pack and was looking forward for new maps to follow...eh...so much for that dream.

That is what shows up in private matches when the party leader ends the game, I believe.
