Forums - Sony - PS Move : Anyone notice in these forums that ....

All the people who complained about the price are either.

  • Don't want to buy the thing in the first place.
  • Don't own a PS3.
  • Think its crap and a waste of time.
  • Make up the cost because they want it to look like 100x more pricey than Natal.

Seriously the prices of BOTH Move or Natal haven't been announced, so why the whining ? Plus its too early to judge the thing just barely showed software yesterday.

It's quite clear what the complaints are about. The lack of originality on Sony's part and attempting to cash in on the market as well as the constant hypocrisy of some people saying 4 years ago how much motion control sucked.

How do you feel about a $20 $10 note? Overpriced? If someone isn't so impressed and then sees a price greater than they are willing to pay for it, then they are likely to feel the price is too high (overpriced).

Yeah, I have noticed that. despite the fact that the $100 bundle is for the Move, EyeToy and a Game itself, but whatever. I hate motion controllers and I've said it before, if gaming's new standard is going to be motion controlled well then, my Car could sure use all of the time and effort I've put into gaming. I mean I just have a stack of mods I want to put on her.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

It's quite possible that those people who think is crap and a waste of time think so because they don't think its value is as high as its price. As dtewi pointed out, this tech has been around for years.

If Sony had come out and said "the 2 pieces of hardware together will set you back $20" then you would have heard a lot less of the "this is crap and a waste of time" posts.

Do you have links that quote people who hated it before who think its great now?  If so, post them, instead of making broad accusations to a huge amount of people.

Personally, I have yet to experience a game that I thought was any better because of motion control (except maybe wii fit)(edit: also wii sports).  I'm not sold on it and won't be unless there is a piece of software that justifies it.  But if others like it, great!  It doesn't mean they are sony zombies, they might actually think it looks good.

I still hate it, I don't care for casual gaming.

No, you want the technology to not be a waste of time, that's what $20 motion control products will do for you, like the powerglove ugh.

Sony will of course be able to lower the cost of this over time, that's what they do b eing the king of all electronics. If it's $100 I dont see why it wont be just $80 within a couple of years.
