So if you play a while you get new weapons?

While there isnt a leveling system nor ranks you do earn/get new weapons from playing the game.

So you do earn new stuff, randomly of course.

Let me explain how it works. Valve took the average play time, then adjusted the drop rates so that a person who plays the average amount of time will get everything they need, on average. I know my friend play a whole lot for a week straight and back then he got all the alternate weps in about a week. Good luck doing that with any of the other games.

So you get new weapons by playing the game.

Like it or not thats a leveling system, example

4 hours = 4 points

200 points needed to unlock sniper.

They dont tell you but there counting it, so its a leveling system after all.

After, so many CoDs, Killzone 2, Halos, and resisances I need to give the online first person shooter a break. Plus this game has no deathmathch/free for all, which seems boring in the long run to me. I'll be back for Reach, COD 7 after the break. PEACE!!!

There is in fact, deathmatch, although it probably isn't the free for all you're looking for. Bad Company 2 has Squad Deathmatch witch pits 4 squads of 4 against each other. I personally like that as opposed to a regular free for all, as it retains the chaos of facing a danger from any direction, while actually encouraging more chaos and running around by having squads compete against each other to get 50 kills first. That means even if you have an shiny tank and the perfect defensive position, you'll lose if you don't take some risks and get the fuck out there.

tl;dr version: Less camping with squad deathmatch.

lol. Ironi. Deathmatch is one of the most monotonous game modes ever.

Go play this and don't put shitty mechanics in FPSes.

im sorry, but the mechanics for experience and worked PERFECTLY since Battlefield 2 was released. Just because you don't understand how it works doesnt mean its shitty.

And dont wave trash like WoW in anyones faces. Its a pitiful excuse for a successful game.

Thank you ssj12! saved me doing a reply!

I DO NOT SUPPORT COD4 or COD period

Also, BF2 poor? wtf are you smoking? Vietnam good? sorry your mixing things up.

I HATE World of Warcrap. Its bloody horrid compared to good MMOs like the original StarWars Galaxy, Final Fantasy 11, Aion, and several others.

No I'm fairly sure Vietnam was better than BF2, though 1942 was better than either of those.

Also out of all the good MMOs to counter WoW you picked some of the worst you could pick? Between horrendous grinding, technical problems, bad concepts, and horrible balancing all of the ones you linked were absolutely horrible representatives of the MMO genre. Then again I guess I should be glad you didn't mention EQ or Lineage.

Pro tip, if you are gonna name MMOs that don't suck go with EVE or Planetside, at least they did something that WoW didn't trump.

Wow, what are you smoking? I think its safe to say you are in the minority with your thoughts....

Why does you guys have slim to no dog tags :/

I'm at like 300 collected and 260 unique :o

And I'm only rank 14

Waiting for it to drop in price, I suppose. Unless it's something I *really* want, I won't spend more than ~30-35$ on a game.

Why don't you really want it? Have you seen the game play videos? I thought they were mindblowing when I first saw them.

I still dont think this game is as good as Battlefield 2 Modern Combat, the first bad company definately wasnt, but IDk for sure on this one.

I Hate the fact that all these pillows are contaminated by retard!!

Let me explain, if you really want your weapons right away, join an achievement server and you get all weapons for a class in a 20-30 min time frame, so a total of about 2-3 hours to get all alternate weapons. Valve, or anyone else, really doesn't give a damn about that. Let me ask you, can I max out my levels in any game you can think of in 2 or 3 hours by joining a special server that won't put e in jeopardy of being banned or reset or suspended?

Yeah.... I didn't think so.

@FKN

Between "360, PS3 and Wii Owner" and your other part of your sig, I am absolutely convinced you don't know anything about just about anything so I just won't bother replying.
