Uh oh. Better buy this over Final Fantasy XIII. Metacritic has spoken.

Enjoy playing a game that's even more linear than MW2.

To answer the original question, my PC can't play this game. It's not the only reason, but it's the one that will result in Akvod being the least pushy.

I'm not pushy. I politely ask the reason why, and I ended up getting some pretty hostile and irrational responses (leveling up system for example).

I only ask others who are more polite to simply elaborate on their problems, and I try to offer them solutions.

No I'm fairly sure Vietnam was better than BF2, though 1942 was better than either of those.

Also out of all the good MMOs to counter WoW you picked some of the worst you could pick? Between horrendous grinding, technical problems, bad concepts, and horrible balancing all of the ones you linked were absolutely horrible representatives of the MMO genre. Then again I guess I should be glad you didn't mention EQ or Lineage.

Pro tip, if you are gonna name MMOs that don't suck go with EVE or Planetside, at least they did something that WoW didn't trump.

I think that you need to realise that, while you don't like levelling up and unlocking rewards in FPS games, the general consensus is that is a good system. If more people like it than don't, it's likely going to stay. You may think its broken, but you are in the minority, so there is no point trying to convince other people.

FYI: Battlefield 2 is a classic.

Yes and following your logic all games should be MMOs or Farmville and just outright fuck the other genres. Far more people like those than any other genre don't they? You are in the minority as well so stop trying to convince people.

FYI: Battlefield 1942 is a far better game nonetheless.

MMOs are the most popular genre? Since when. Me thinks you are wrong.

The point of my post was this (which you seemed to miss): People like the levelling system in FPS games. MMOs and RPGs don't have exclusive ownership of levelling systems. If it was a problem where developers were putting in levelling systems and the players didn't want them, you'd have a point. But, people clearly want these systems, so stop pretending that you're the all powerful, all knowing, gaming god, while everyone else are idiots who play games they don't enjoy. People enjoy the levelling systems, that is why they are there. If you're not happy with them, don't play any game other than TF2.

They are the most popular genre since more people play MMOs than any other genre, probably more than many other genres combined.

Also I'd wager anything that TF2 has outsold anything that has levelling, meaning that is the more popular system and hence even by your logic you are wrong.

@Garnett

You have obviously not played squad games enough if you think 24 people run around with the same guns...

What games are you exactly talking about?

And the servers are down, now i lost all my points >_<

You're probing people like you're a child. They give you an initial reason. Typically for most people that would be good enough, but you instead ask why. I suppose the purpose is that if you ask why enough times and delve deeper into the reasoning they'll cave and buy it or something. Threads asking why people aren't going to buy a game you like are pushy by nature since the thread creator is far too attached to the product at hand to be anything but pushy.

I suppose this was the solution for Kenryoku right?

Mighty helpful.

Oh easy, the one that has been thrown around a lot in this thread, TF2.

TF2 has ranking system.

From Wiki

"New sets of class-specific achievements have been added in updates, which add new abilities and weapons to each class once unlocked by the player. This unlockable system has since been expanded into a random-chance system, where the player can obtain the items by playing the game."

An answer like "I couldn't get into the game" isn't an answer at all. Obviously he couldn't get into the game, that's like repeating the question. I think it was appropriate for me to ask "Why couldn't you get into the game?".

When he said that the controls were clunky, I remembered that a common problem was people not being able to adjust to the new controls (I couldn't myself), so I asked him if he knew that he could change the controls to Bad Company 1 style.

I didn't treat him like a child, I treated him like an normal person who had a common problem.

As for the FFXIII response, he was being snippy, so I was being snippy. You can call both of us immature, fine, but don't act like Ken was trying to stimulate a meaningful discussion that I was meant to foster with a thoughtful response.

I think you need to realize that 1. it's a random system, but if you REALLY wanna work hard you can do it achievement, that is automatically different than levelling and 2. Almost all weapons are just alternative, and in many many situations people go back to using the started ones. On another note, there is NO ranking system, unless you have some form of fucked up definition for ranking.
