People are more likely to spend $300 on a new monitor than $3000 on a new TV to support 3D. In addition to this, Nvidia already supports more games with 3D than Sony will even if they put their weight behind it for the entirety of the remainder of the generation. Lastly Natal makes a 3D based HTPC/3D Gaming PC quite viable too so lets not forget that either.

Yep.

The console/casual user 3D push is becoming kind of a joke to be honest.

People are not just limited to 300 dollar LCD's. The consumer can buy this and enjoy amazing 3D for over 2 years now. - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Mitsubishi+-+60%22+Class+1080p+Rear+Projection+DLP+HDTV/9487192.p?id=1218112691007&skuId=9487192

And this supports Nividia 3D vision and has absolutely zero ghosting.

If PS3 as a bluray player is able to work with these Mitsubishi DLP TVs...which it should as Mitsubishi promissed an add-on to make it work if it doesn't...I urge anyone that is interested in 3D to buy it instead of the new LCD's and plasmas that support it.

It looks as good if not better, its 60 inches, it costs 3000 dollars less and works with Nvidia 3D vision on the PC.

In addition to this Nvidia in spite of my dislike for them are doing great things and evolving the technology quickly. No PS3 game will ever be displayed in 3D as crisply as Nvidia 3D at a native 1080P. They have already reached a point where you'd need a PS4 to match their progress, they are a full generation ahead of Sony and moving forwards.

Same here...Im not a fan at all but there really is no competition right now.

Check out this interview with a developer who is working on Metro 2033.

Looks like this game will be the poster child for 3D vision, direct X 11...for Nvidia.

"First and foremost: 3D Stereo. The game was developed in 3D and for 3D. That's the only game developed that way as far as I know. Playing the game under DX11 in 3D Stereo is just mind-blowing, it's much, much more amazing than watching Avatar in IMAX."
