Forums - PC - why do PC gaming topics get so much negativity

I haven't seen as much negativity as complete oblivion in the PC threads. A few months ago, a Diablo 2 thread just had like 10 posts or so, which made me extremely sad T_T

I've been gaming on PC's longer that I have on any console, and will continue to do so, because the experience is far more expansive and encompasses more genres than consoles could ever have.

Plus, there's emulation :P

All gaming topics get some form on negativity.

PC Gamming need s real SHIFT! So expensive as console games and much more support needed.. alos there´s the nom linear performance for each pc... so.. it doesn´t stand for standards as consoles...
I prefer PC for FPS, but my old X2 4000 with a X800xt isn´t up to it...

First thing: where PC gamming is going to? Always up... so, is better to pay for a PS3 and don´t invest in high cost hardware and each 3 years doing expensive upgrades...

As I said, gamming on PC needs to shift standards to less performance needs... just that..

PSN: franco-br
MGS4, GH, MW2, GT5p, WipeoutHD, etc..etc..

I think all topics get negativity because we're on the internet.

Your graphics card came on the market in 2004 before any of the current consoles. You can't play the latest games on the original XBox or PS2, either. Your PC will still be fine for a lot of games, though (see GOG.com). When you come to buy a new PC, there are a couple of  decent threads on here with cheap build examples. You also shouldn't be upgrading every three years, it's a waste of money. Also, remember that games are usually £10-15 cheaper on the PC, so if you buy a lot of games, you'll be making a saving there.

OMG so much negativity but seriously as has been said you have a quite old setup but you could play plenty of new games thanks to the indy scene, you could (depending on the rest of your setup) run great games like mount & blade, torch light and even free games like spelunky and much more.
