Ok, so I've had Steam logging in automatically for a long time now, I'm almost certain I remember what my password is because last time I had to enter it and wasn't sure what it was, the first thing I thought it should be worked.
This time I was uninstalling some stuff from the control panel remove software thing, tried to unistall the L4D2 demo which I saw and thought "what's that still doing there?" up comes a steam login window.
None of the passwords I try work. Trying to reset my password I get to the stage where steam has emailed me this:

What is this passphrase they speak of? I've googled it and found a lot of other people with the same problem but no answers yet. I hope to god I still have my DOWII cd key if it comes to that.
