Forums - Gaming - Should I get Battlefield: Bad Company 2?

Probably like a lot of you, I'm kind of getting burned out on Modern Warfare 2. It's fun and all, and I intend to play it online all the way until Modern Warfare 3 releases, but let's be serious, you do need a new shooter every now and then to spice things up.

I only played a little of the first game, but it was amazing. And now, after hearing the buzz of this game and watching the video review from IGN, I think this might be worth it. Vehicles, destructible enviroments, pretty graphics, and more. Something that Call Of Duty doesn't have.

So what do you guys think? Is it worth the purchase? I think it is, but I want to make sure my $60 will be worth it. Discuss.

Does anyone even have an opinion on this?

Well for starters, you're off to a great start looking at online, as while the campaign was fun, it's short and not perfect.

Things you need to ask yourself:

Am I willing to play objective based matches? Am I willing to have a lower K/D ratio?
If so, you are in great shape. If not, I do not even want you to be on my team on Rush, as that game is being ruined by people who simply hang back and snipe.

How much do I love perks? There are no super power perks in this game. The only things that are close to them are things like slightly increased running speed, slightly more damage/defense, increased destruction, etc. And DICE has made it so that you can only have very very few of them, with things like Red Dot scopes having to be sacrificed for extra accuracy.

Am I willing to have weaknesses and short commings? DICE has constructed the class based systems so that you CANNOT own everybody. Even as a Recon with sensors and C4s, your biggest weakness will be running out of ammo, and you'll require an fellow Assault for that.

Watch this video and if you will NOT do these things, or at least willing to learn a different gamestyle, then you're good.

And hell yes.. It shits on MW2...

PS- Hardcore mode makes it like CoD where you die easy (which i love) so if anyone likes CoD go out and pick this game up! Its the same but with better maps and vehicles.

if you can run it on PC get it on PC , why? MODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but if you can't then get it , and yes its better than the first and better than MW2 (but don't trust me on that cause i hate MW2)
