Valve unveils sequel to 'Portal'
Valve Software is working on a sequel to first-person shooter/puzzle game Portal, the studio has announced.
Portal 2 is slated for release this holiday. Valve has not specified which systems the game will be available for. More details will be available in next month's issue of Game Informer.
The original Portal was released as part of The Orange Box, a compilation of 5 Valve games, including Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2, for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
For those who missed out on the 2007 game, it's perhaps one of this console cycle's best games. The storytelling was superb, and the puzzles were incredibly challenging. And although it's technically a first-person shooter, players never fire a gun, instead using a portal gun to quickly transport to different points in the environment.
