Metacritic has never been a valid metric for measuring the quality of games!

I guess its a decent metric on the popularity of a title over a wide range of reviewers.

This is true, as "wide" a range of covered reviewers may be.

^ the orange box on the Xbox360 wasn't any better. Gamers were better of getting it for the PC.

LOL Are you joking? Sorry dude but you have no idea what your talking about.

I own the fucking game for the Xbox360 and have a friend who has the PS3 version. Nothing about the 360 version was better than the PS3. They were both the same crap. Don't even think about throwing reviews score at me pretending they were not the same based on that. The 360 version also had framerate and long loading times. My game froze on me various times during Half Life 2 and the episodes and it had nothing to do with my 360 since others were also having problem with those spefic moments. When you reach certain check points or come to a point where you are have reached a new area the game seems like it freezes for like 5 seconds and than continues. TF2 was dead and laggy on 360 just as it was on the PS3. PC > PS3+360.

Here lemme highlight the part in red where I said you don't know what your talking about. I don't care about the PC version. PC versions are usually superior when it comes to any game.

I actually played x360 version and then PS3 version. 360 version issues were minor compared to PS3s. Go play the PS3's version after you played the x360 and tell me it's the same thing.

I won't give you reviews. There are plenty of articles about how horrible it was and even valve and EA acknowledged it was a crappy port.

So Metacritic is only flawed when it doesn't accurately display the score you want for your favorite game?

What about all those other multiplat releases like GTAIV, Fallout 3 or Bioshock? Oh I forgot...they all got above 90 so no one cares. Metacritic is unflappable as long as the score is high! But if the score goes below a certain level for the game I like, they'll be hell to pay!

Just admit it people, reviews are pointless.  And you certainly shouldn't be trying to expect games to get a certain 'level' on Metacritic.

Nope.  As I explained, rather well I thought, it is statistically flawed in its methods, and of course most people who use it apply it's scores in flawed ways either because they don't understand statistics or, most commonly, want to make a point and couldn't care less about actual facts.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
