Legend of the Red Dragon?
Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos

oh wow, you just sent me into a nostalgia spiral.
You basically just wrote what I would've if I had been old enough to even keep that in memory.

I played a MUD called Gemstone 3. Three things happened with that game.
1. Had a great time and took away great memories of it.
2. I got really good at typing.
3. My dad got really mad at me because we were using AOL 1.0 at that time so you got charged by how long you were online.

Hah Gemstone 3... I tried that a while.
For me though the best MUD was Terris. Another AOL Mud. I even was like... a guild officer at one point. It wasn't like MMO guilds which were called "households" (Of which I was also once an office and leader at that of.)
They were more like, the place you joined to learn all your class skills. There were only 14 in the entire game world and the guild officers had a lot of infuence on what improvements they got and such.
Then they started charging a subscription and while my parents paid it, after awhile it felt like a waste.
Hey it's still looks like it's running go figure... heh the old message board posts are even still there. Wow I was a dork.

I honestly can't remember the name, but that was it.
I'm borderline just going to say the name was Legend. Almost 4 years ago or so I was looking for it again and couldn't fine it.
I'm Unamerica and you can too.

Shame, MOO's were far more than just a text based RPG. They were born from old, text based dungeon adventure games, but with the built in scripting languages, they were the first moddable games available, to the point you could turn it into far more than just a game. Our MOO was never used as a game, it was solely an intro into programming, back before Java became the default intro to programming language.
