you know what's funny? i watched inglorious basterds with my girlfriend and there was nobody in the theater at all. we wound up not watching most of the movie and making out like crazy instead. basically i didn't really get the point.

Inglorious Basterds still in theaters?

You're very very late. No wonder you were alone.

I was actually a little disappointed with Up.

Pixar is awesome usually though.

But then again Kung Fu Panda (by Dreamworks) was better than Wall-E imo.

I just can't wait for Toy Story 3!

Wall-E was amazing!!!! Didnt get to see Kung Fu Panda and TooooooooYYYYYYYY SSSSSSttoooooooryyyy !!!!! I mean I will have to probably watch that with her too sometime...

Believe me Toy Story is for everybody!

Kung Fu Panda too. Such a charming movie.

And btw I'm disappointed that Star Trek and Drag me to Hell are out of the competition.

im with you in this one

STAR TREK was fantastic so instead of the Blind Side star trek belongs there (or 500 Days of Summer such an awesome movie)

Drag me to hell was great and i love it but i dont see it as a Best Picture material

Yeah Drag me to Hell might be a little too niche.

Some people really hate the movie.

Of the ones that I've seen I'd have to go with Up, though I doubt it'd win.

I thought Ponyo was deserving of a nod as well, especially considering a movie like The Blindside is there (I admit, it was enjoyable, but not movie of the year material).

Honestly, it's shocking to see Sci-Fi and Animated movies in the competition. On a normal year, almost every movie would have been more similar to Blindside and The Hurt Locker then the other movies nominated.

i agree with you

i LOVE Avatar but in my opinion it doesnt deserve any of the awards has been getting (Golden Globes) it is a great movie indeed

but not best picture material, last year was a fantastic year of great sci-fi movies

MOON deserved to be nominated for something and it was completely ignored, Star Trek is superior to Avatar (story wise) and District 9 is just awesome

ALL of those 4 movies are great but MOON owns them ALL

I agree. Last year was an amazing year for Sci-Fi. Avatar was only nominated in my opinion was because of it's Box Office sales in my opinion. The movie was amazing visually in 3D But I wouldn't go as far to say it deserves movie of the year.

i totally agree with you about the box office sales and same comment goes to the blind side hehehe

have you seen Moon?

if not i HIGHYL RECOMMEND it to u
