But according to IGN and every other reviewer site, there is barely a noticeable difference between the 2 versions. So if it's true, then HD doesn't do as much as we thought.

360 FF13 = gameplay 576p, in-game cutscene= 576p, CG cutscene= 720p (probably)

PS3 FF13 = gameplay 720p, in-game cutscene= 720p**, CG cutscene= 1080p

**The PS3's in game cutscenes may be 1080p, but to be safe, I'll just say it's 720p unless corrected.

i understand what you are but i am speaking on the available info,anything can happen.you can say alot of different things by making your scenarios.

i understand ur PS3 scenario but 360 atm seems to have CG cutscenes at 720p.they compared the cutscenes with PS3 1080p cutscenes so they were talking about CGI cutscenes.

Really? Fanboyish? You do know that someone can have a preference, even a strong one without being a fanboy right? It's not about how well the buttons work as much as comfort for long playing times. For me the 360 controller fits my hands perfectly, and for long play sessions that makes a difference to me. Also, I really care about my gamerscore (I don't farm crappy games, but I like to get it regardless) and don't care about trophies nearly as much. Why can't this just be my preference, why does it have to go to "fanboy-land"? I try very hard to be fair about my comments (I fail miserably sometimes) but I'm not trying to bait anyone. I was asked a question by the OP and answered, and listed my reasons for it.

Exactly, I'd say the controller should be the massive deciding factor between the two versions.

Its an RPG so you will have the controller in your hands for HOURS at a time, its important that you are comfortable with the controller!

Fair enough, your reasoning makes sense,I was out of line.

It wouldn't surprise me if some people are saying 360 just to get a rise out of people, so I understand. Not a problem at all.

I think this is just Sony fans payback for all the games Xbox had superior and all the bashing they got. Both versions will be fine and play great. I'm assuming most people arguging about which version are better don't even like FF anyway.

Wasn't Halo 3 not HD as well, and look how fun that game is and how much it managed to sell say compared to graphics champ KZ2. Graphics aren't everything.

I think it's because some of them are still can't get over the fact that the game is even on the 360. Thankfully there are people like darth who are fans of the game and not just one version of the game.

There is really no talk needed if you own a PS3 and a 360.

Excuses like "I prefer the controller" or "Achievements" are lame. Why should I play a confirmed worse game because of the controller? Both Controllers are good for all RPGs. If it was a FPS, then yeah, I could understand that you prefer the 360 controller. I don't even own a 360, only a 360 controller for Windows, and yes, for FPS it way be better.

But saying you like one controller more for an RPG, is like saying you prefer Dead Space: Extraction over Dead Space because it has motion controls....

And don't get me started Achievements. Games are meant to be played for fun, not virtual penis-comparison. And if the gameplay is the same on both platforms, you get the most fun out of the version with better graphics. Pure Fact.

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.
