March 2, 2010 - Sony Computer Entertainment announced the purchasing of UK-based developer Medial Molecule, creators of the exclusive PlayStation 3 platforming title LittleBigPlanet. Terms of the deal were not disclosed at this time.

Since its release in 2008, LittleBigPlanet has generated over 2 million user-created levels and won over 90 game awards.
