I'm going to say it makes it harder for them to implement the rumored paid subscription; I wouldn't pay for a service with potentially fatal errors.
But overall, this is nothing compared to what Toyota is dealing with.

If they deal with it by tomorrow, it will probably be forgotten quite quickly and not effect sales.
If they fix it fast enough no one will care. I have played a few MMO's where something game breaking can come up after a patch. Sure for that 10hours or w/e people complain saying I will never play again, but soon as its back up they forget about it.

Herecy! Sony doesn't has any flawz!
If they can take care of it quickly then it shouldn't have too much of an impact. The longer it takes though the more damage will occur.

Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Agreed completely. Day WoW:BC came out our server was down for 2 days. Caused quite the shitstorm, but as soon as the server came up, everyone completely forgot about it.
Depends... if it's a 24 hour problem it will be quickly forgotten.
If it lasts longer than that, requiring a firmware update with a workaround it will affect reputation.
If it requires a recall to fix the hardware (or at least reset the HW clock to a sane state) then it's a clusterfuck which will cost Sony a lot of money, sales and reputation.
