Battlefield Bad Company 2 US TV Spot

Not to be out done by Stockholm's tube station advertising, the USA has had this spot featuring on their TV's recently.

Some places just get all the cool adverts.

Any opinion?

So they completely muted the game's insanely-high quality sound, and replaced it with some unfitting music?

They could've done much better.....

i love it, and yeah thats usually what a trailer is

Honestly, if it were the only game in March coming out, I would buy it instantly. But sadly, FF13 [Been waiting for 4 years] is coming out the week after and also God of War 3.

I'll be picking it up possibly during the Summer when I'm done or on Black Friday if I'm patient enough.

EA knows how to advertise their games.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 > Modern Warfare 2

Looks good to me. I always wonder though if the reviewer quotes actually help though. I mean movies have pretty much stopped with that trend.

I said this in another thread, I'll restate it here:

I think the trailer is weak. It is intense sure, but it doesn't hit on any of the strong points. No mentioning of the destructable environment, the "do as you please" angle of the multiplayer, the humor of the single player and the chaos that ensues everywhere. If my PC wasn't so damn old I'd be all over BFBC2 in a heartbeat, it's miles better then MW2 in my opinion and the trailer doesn't show it. It mostly caters to the crowd that already knows the game. Joe shmoe thinks: I've got MW2, why should I buy this rip-off?

This, pretty much...

They tried too hard to make it look like some "extreme" shooter, when it actually comes off as just another generic one. They really should've used bits from those "Battlefield Moments" clips.

Anyone that knows BF will know why it's always stood out from other shooters. This commercial doesn't help show why it does.

Remind yourselves that the "hardcore" gamers have already most likely seen the Battlefield trailer that are on the net. Remind yourselves that that the Battlefield Episodes are minutes long, and that commercials need to be SHORT and ATTENTION GETTING.

I think that this is a good commercial in those two terms. I'm a bit uneasy about newbies joining, but we can't act like fucking Socrates and wish that we could live in a world with only skilled or smart gamers, and especially think that EA can.
