Banjo-Kazooie was a clone of SM64. A good clone with depth, but still a clone. Banjo-Tooie was better.

Metroid wasn't the most hardcore shooter, but it was the first game that made me say "Wow" at just the atmosphere. The transition to 3D from Super Metroid (an incredible game itself) was perfect. Metroid is a shooter, but an escapist shooter, with exploration over blasting.

I don't like OoT, but accept its technical perfection.

Paper Mario (N64) should be on that list.

You know what? I think you are right....MP is overrated.

So is Halo though......Doom, Quake is where it's at. Half Life is nothing without Counter Strike.

i disagree about metroid and halo being overrated,not sure about quake and doom because i havent played them and also half-life would of been awesome even with out cs,hal-life is my favorite pc game of all time

i also think that soul calibur should change places with re4

Doom is Alpha my friend. Quake improved upon it. If you want to get technical, Wolf 3-D is Alpha.

Half Life would not be popular without Counter Strike. Counter Strike is one million times the game Half Life is...sorry...it's the truth.

Edit: If you wish to witness gaming history....play Doom. It is antiquated, but you will see where FPS began. If you have the patience, play Wolfenstien 3-D the birth of FPS.
