Oh yes. The fact that it has a camera will make developers ashamed of making shovelware because, you know, there's a camera looking at them.

"Won't have shovelware"... RIGHT!!!
Anyway its pretty shameless implying more 'innovative' games when they've taken about 4 years to release a counter to Nintendos own control interface. So remind me again why something which has all the flaws and benefits of the Wiimote is going to set the world not already alight with the Wii, alight?

I think the press has forgotten that Sony has been using a camera [for a long time]. This is now our second iteration of it. We know what the consumer wants with regards to using a camera and whether they want something in their hands or not." Oh yes. Two separate statements (:
It may be true that sony and microsoft are releasing these well after the wii has launched, but it will be the first time that a consumer gets to experience a motion sensing based game in hd using the graphical prowess of the ps3/360, and while Im no graphic whore by any means, gameplay always wins out over looks any day, it will be interesting to see how this turns out and what kind of games they can come out with, im just saying that if something like zelda were made for the ps3/360, Id shit my pants. I know that cant happen, but a game of that calibur that we can only experience on the wii would be epic.

And not to double post, but this would also further re-enforce those rumors about the wii going hd to combat sony's and microsofts motion controllers, would make sense to me.

Yeah i hate when companies learn from their mistakes too. Long live terrible business decisions!!!!!!

If its spin then the aforementioned cell comment wouldnt be true, which it is true, which is why Gabe Newell and shitty ports for 2 years say hello.
If there is one thing that I know about MS. They are throwing far more resources and have far more experience creating a compelling developer experience that will make developing for the Natal far more productive than Sony creating a developer experience for the Arc.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Well, Sony is releasing Heavy Rain and Flowers with motion controls, Microsoft is releasing Milo, dont remember seeing games like this on Wii. Innovation will not be a hard part to beat Wii software. Most games on Wii, are regular games patch with motion control or mini-games. Dont get me wrong, Wii is fantastic, sales proves it, but it seems like Sony and Microsoft will tried to deliver new types of games instead of adding motion controls to current genre. Maybe im forgeting Wii titles, I would be glad if you can point me to Wii games that are innovative. But beware that adding motion control to mario, zelda, metroid or sports game is not innovative. A good example of innovation on Wii, would be Wii fit. Im probably missing 1 or 2 innovative titles, but it was release 4 years ago, im pretty sure Microsoft and Sony will do much more with the tech. At least much more for core gamer...
If I was to take a gamble I would say natal would make a greater impact than arc.
At the same time having a motion controller gives developers far more options in certain games.
As I said before and I'll say it again. Sony can easily implement a natal like system for the PS3.
Natal is promoted as controller free. "No more controllers" is the natal slogan...or something like that.
The result is that PS3 can be classical, wii like and should sony choose to do it, natal like.
X360 can only be classical or natal like.
From this I gave the PS3 the edge as it can potentially "do everything".
Time will tell but natal has more going for it as it is a "new" concept.
As for those of you who go on about copying, please. There is a thin economic line between innovation and copying and $billions are made doing both.
MS "copied" Sony and release a console. Sony copied the wiimote...and nintendo are always copying my ideas.
