Atlus recently held a web demonstration to show off From Software's 3D Dot Game Heroes to the press. Hungry for nostalgia, Atlus fed these reporters with four new screenshots of the overhead action RPG, which can be viewed right here.

During the presentation, the company also dashed the hopes of Xbox 360 gamers everywhere when they confirmed the game would not be ported to Microsoft's console.

When asked, Atlus' Manager of Public Relations Aram Jabbari replied with a simple "Nope."

As an Xbox 360 owner, that just makes me sad. But if you've got a PS3 and are interested in 3D Dot Game Heroes (as you should be), we've posted a new preview of the game.

Atlus said they might do a 360 version.

While I don't think it will come to the 360, this doesn't mean much. The game is too close to release to all of a sudden announce a 360 version. If it were a timed exclusive, they wouldn't announce a 360 port and would deny a 360 port until much later.

The only thing I know about this game is that dsister was really looking forward to it. Bummer?

I didn't know anyone was expecting it to be on the X360.

yes, the graphix are about 20, which is almost 3x higher than Star Ocean.

Also, the story doesn't follow Halo 3. It in fact is a ripoff of Zelda, and we all know that Sony copies Nintendo, while Microsoft just buys whole companies.

There was something that Euphoria said that made me think there was a slight chance of it appearing on the 360

I know not much, but it gave me some hope.
