Precisely why I put it in quotation marks. I have no idea.

It was based on a question where an Astronomer was denied tenure for believing in creationism more or less.

It was more "Are you open to scientists providing proof of creationism and would be against scientific indoctrination denying people from putting forth evidence."

Of which... any sensible person would answer yes.  If someone could show that the earth was really made out of peanut butter i'd be open to them trying to show it... and if it's not related to their field too much, who cares?

Isn't a straw poll pretty much pointless in every way shape and form? I mean, aside from trying to drum up support for the political party in the news media (who also benefits by having something to talk about for a few minutes).
