VGC numbers had it at 64,000. Who is more accurate? We'll have to wait till next NPDs (November) to find out. If this is true then it's a very good boost, at least for 1 week.

I hope it is true for the ps3... Vg is not that far off... give or take a few thousand... maybe like 36k :P

didn't that article also reported that the wii has sold 9.3 million units when Nintendo has stated that they already shipped 13 million +.

It was 100.000 for PS3 and PS2 together alright.

With ~35k for PS2... So that leaves 65k for the PS3... Which still isn't good because other systems went up more (Wii at ~190k and X360 at ~170k)... This is twisting the facts around to make it sound good...

Those sales include PS2 sales! You know what Sony should learn stop doing, saying things which are only half true, or even worse.. not true! Blowing things out of proportions. As long as those guys shut up, except a Phil Harrison, who is the most appreciated in my eyes than all those numskulls together, they're far more worth.

Or.. the media should stop twisting things to make it look worse for Sony, because quite frankly, I'm not so sure these days "who" to blame.

 Yup, as long as VGChartz keeps the PS3 numbers at least 5-10% below the NPD numbers and the 360/Wii at least 5-10% above, there's nothing to worry about. ;)

Oh man, VGChartz screwed up last month then by overtracking PS3 while undertracking Wii.  Adjusting PS3 down by ~25% of NPD and Wii up by ~20% of NPD should remedy this.

Even if you add 10% for Canada, VGC has the PS3 higher than NPD numbers for October. So what's your point?

Right.... which is why Wii numbers were undertracked and PS3 numbers overtracked compared to October NPD.

Seriously, ioi doesn't play favorites with the numbers.
