We have no idea as it just started last gen.

True its uncertain, but I think it would be a bad move for Square and the KH series if KH3 doesnt come out this gen yet continue to release little spin offs on handhelds.

It's starting to sound like it. If we do see KH3 it might be at the tail end of this generation (which could very well be into next generation). However, Nomura did say that te BBS team mightbe able to handle KH3. I'm guessing SE doesn't like the fact that one of their star teams has been stuck making a FF13 spinoff for the entire generation.

No offense...but why does a Kingdom Hearts 3 have to be made anytime soon? There's already been about 8 Kingdom Hearts games made in the last 7 years and one of them still has yet to release outside of Japan. And the DS and PSP games released less than a year apart. Really now...the series is ALREADY over-saturated.

Trying to release a new Kingdom Hearts game now would be like trying to release a new Pokemon game right after the previous one.....oh wait.
