Forums - Nintendo Discussion - How would streaming Netflix work?

I know Netflix is coming out for the wii and will allow the Wii to stream Netflix.

But I never used Netflix before and I am interested in getting a subscription to use on my Wii. I'd just like to know if anyone here has streamed Netflix before, Possibly on your PC, PS3, or Xbox360, knows it works.

Like I see that you can order one movie at a time to be shipped to your house on DVD or Blueray, in the basic package. But what I want to know is if you stream Netflix like on your Wii for example, are you limited to just watching 1 movie at a time? Like your just ordering them. If anyone knows how it works I would really appreciate if you could let me know, thanks.

Yeah, but what I'd like to know is if you are limited to 1 movie or show at a time. Or is there like more options.

A little research can go a long way ;) http://www.netflix.com/HowItWorks#faq4

You can exchange your DVD for another DVD from your movie list (Queue) as often as you want. Return the DVD in its individual, pre-paid envelope to get the next available title from your Queue. You can also instantly watch movies (some new releases) & TV episodes (including current season), streamed instantly over the Internet, right on your TV via a Netflix ready device. In addition, you can watch instantly online on your PC or Mac.

Yeah I saw that, I just wanted to hear from someone who used the service and can explain exactly how it works.

Yeah so basically youtube

If anyone that actually used the service can explain exactly how it works, that would be very appreciated.

As others have said it's basically like you tube, but higher quality.

You can have 1 (or more if you pay for more) DVD at a time, and you can stream one movie at a time from the internet at the same time you have a DVD. If you have two devices, generally only one can stream a time. You can stop a movie and change to a different one, but you can't play two at a time (ie: two windows open) as it keeps count and only lets each account stream one at a time.

After you finish watching one movie or show can you start another one right away? Or do you have to wait?

You can stream as many movies/tv shows as you want.

Does this not work like the PS3 where you get the streaming disc and can watch stuff off your Wii with that?
