Halo is a sci fi First Person Shooter. People can say they dont like it, but shouldnt deny that its a good game and a good series and the first one revolutionized the FPS genre on a console.

Im pretty sure most people will say that was Goldeneye, not Halo.

But I get what you mean with everyone complaining about Halo, like with ODST. It was more like they bought it and played it just to find things wrong with it, rather than to have fun.

Still, noticed in the Vidoc that you can now run in Halo Reach rather than constantly walking which seems like a good addition, possibly inspired by Call of Duty and other shooters. that cant hurt

I hadn't paid attention to him saying "first one". Yeah, I'd also say the first one was Goldeneye 007 (which sold just over 8 million copies), not Halo. But Halo is most certainly worthy of credit, don't get me wrong.

Sorry, I meant first one as in Halo Combat Evolved, the first Halo game in the series

Ohh, whoops, sorry, I misread.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Indeed, about this topic that can be summary "Halo vs CoD" and considering the increasing success of CoD, I m always wondering how Reach will perform agaisnt CoD7 or if Activision will decide to move CoD7 to 2011 ...

Time to Work !

Don't plan on Bungie making changes to integrate with CoD styles. They even mentioned on one of their latest podcasts how they do not care for unlockables that affect game play. They have stated that they will provide rewards and incentives for players to keep playing. What these are though, will be revealed at a later date.

Also, as from what has been said in previews and interviews, Bungie is using campaign maps\spaces for multiplayer. The obvious implications here are for Firefight so that AI will already have pathing knowledge of the maps. But there are some other possible outcomes of this fact. A game mode that has hereto been unknown. Perhaps something along the lines of L4D, where 1 team is human and the other controls covenant forces.

And just as a note, sprinting is only enabled once you equip the sprinting armor ability. It is not something that can be used without picking up this item.

Its not only Call of Duty either. Its also Killzone 2. People keep comparing not only Halo, but other X360 games to Killzone asking will it look as good. Killzone and Halo are 2 different games but same genre but thats it.

Yeah I don't know why people just want every game to be like Modern Warfare these days. Halo is Halo, just leave it at that.

Hey, as long as they bring back the epic feel of the campaign in Halo: CE, I'm down.

this thread wins, if halo changed, i prolly wouldnt like it anymore

this is spot on 100% agreement, I think that keeping it Halo the Way it is in style that it was intended as the developer's have done is the only way to keep it as Halo, Halo is not COD, it's not Killzone 2, it's not Gear's of war etc. it's what make's it unique. the story, the character's and its over all tone and background. why on earth would people want it to be like the other game's I think that take's away it's flavor of being Unique.

I think that's with any franchise though, but if the developer's decide to change thing's well those are the break's, but I myself will still play it because I like the experience of the game, more than just plinking every little thing about any game.

I AM BOLO

100% lover "nothing else matter's" after that...

ps:

Proud psOne/2/3/p owner.  I survived Aplcalyps3 and all I got was this lousy Signature.

I partly agree with what you said. I also enjoy the Halo series. I own all of the games..............but improvements are needed. Not necessarily drastic changes, but maybe subtle ones. Just like the sprinting, I think that the jumping needs to be adressed as well. I'm tired of killing "jumping beans" every time I go online. Maybe they should change it so that if you're being shot, you can't jump as high or fast. Like in Gears, when you're being shot you can't run half as fast. Maybe they'll keep it the same. They just need to keep it fresh. That's the key.
