No it's not just the 4gb, but the 1333+. That RAM outclasses that video card. I just think if someone were to get that RAM, they might as well get a much better video card. The processor is good, and for another $80-100, you can significantly increase gaming performance. That said, not a huge fan of ATI in general anyways, but whatever.

How does choice of RAM affect video card?

Unless he meant if you were going to drop some extra money on higher speed memory, you'd be better off dropping it into a better VGA card, I have no idea.

If he meant dropping extra money on faster memory means having to drop more money onto a better VGA card as well, then I really have no idea.

The main practical advantage of having higher speed memory for gaming is presumably to match a moderately to highly overclocked CPU with a high FSB speed.

I suppose if you bought a budget CPU with a lower clock speed that had to be significantly OCed via FSB so as not to bottleneck your GPU, you might have to buy higher speed memory or memory that is reputable for overclocking as well.

The 1st, though the 4th makes sense too, didn't really think about it that way.

I'm going to agree with most people here, in saying:

Build it yourself!

It's more fun, gives you more control, usually cheaper and you will get a system that is easier to upgrade. Plus, your windows installation will not be bogged down by 200 pieces of useless software right from the start. I don't think I've ever used any of the software that were pre-installed on my systems anyway. I cannot really see any positive points to purchasing a pre-built system.

Garcian's recommendation is very good, if you want a not so pricey computer.
