Well if you're buying it from play-asia you know that they list what regions the game is compatible in right on the page for the game? It will either be "No Region Protection", so any 360 will work fine. Or NTSC-J (for Japan/Asia), NTSC-U/C (for NA), or PAL (for Europe/Australia).
They also have: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-00-3-xbox360_compatibility_guide-49-en.html
According to play-asia, all versions of VP: Trouble in Paradise are region free.

When I looked at the VP: TiP page they had question marks for US and Pal consoles
LordMatrix said: Dsister why would you need to import Viva Pinata: TiP? You live in the United States and it is easy to find a copy in the good ol' US of A.

Look at the awesome boxart

The US Boxart looks much better. That one reminds me of that strange japanese party game that came out on X360 in Japan around launch. What was it...? Every Party??
How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...
Xbox 360 wants to Kinect & PS3 wants to Move! Why are both systems having such relationship problems? The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.
