I bought mine in 2007, it's a pre-falcon and pre-jasper model. It's the earliest model there was. It's a wonder it lasted so long

Got my 360 back, yesterday. I had to re-download all of my games and re-install my disc based games. The only downside (besides all of the time it took): My copy of Tomb Raider Underworld was scratched up. As long as I kept the HDD install, I could still play the game. Now, my data is gone and I can't install it again. Maybe I'll buy another copy of it.

No need just rent it from blockbuster and install the rental game onto your hdd. Then you can just use the scratched game as identification and you won't have to worry about buying a new one.
