I somewhat agree with that man...Compared to arrogant people like Greenburg, he is OK I guess....
Whats interesting is that he says "We passed them in EU after price-cut"...

i like how he worded his answers. its doesn't sound too arrogant, and it actually just feels more like they are confident. this is why i support them, i love their 1st party games, and their extra offers on the side. =]

I thought Sony said they were going to cut out the BS statements?
If the Xbox 360 is out longer, has had a much more steady level of purchasing over time and an older userbase then the index ratio would be expected to decline, especially for yearly games like Madden. People who are already satisfied with content already purchased aren't as likely to go out and buy more but conversely people who just bought a console are likely to be on the hunt for more software.
Publishers aren't looking at the number sold per console they are interested in how many sell overall. If the Xbox 360 still moves more copies then it still moves more copies, simple as that. Also if it fits into the overall porting mindset better with ease of portability with PC then thats also important. Again another reason why hes full of it.
Lastly its the overall revenue and the cost of that revenue which the publishers are looking at. Not only is the Xbox 360 cheaper to create for and gives the publishers more money in DLC and the option of digital distribution on both the Xbox 360 and PC makes the whole 'idea' of filling up a Blu Ray disc a 'bleh' proposition because it closes down these opportunities.
P.S. I know theres a lot of controversy here over the point, but it looks like Sony calls a game coming out on PS3/PC an exclusive in FFXIV. Quite ironic given the rules here to the contrary.

^ haha good job. but then again, you must also look at it on a different perspective. the PS3 was seen as doomed from the start, and here it is in the present day, outselling xbox360 on some software sales, and then overtaking (or almost overtaking) the xbox in overall hardware sales in europe. and the fact that in america, the install base is almost 2-1, i still can't believe that some of the multiplatform games perform a lot better compared to the xbox version. its not entirely BS, but its also not entirely true. all it is are words that are sugar-coated for the weak-minded masses to instill confidence in their products. doesn't microsoft do the same thing?
you're argument is good though, and you nailed the fact that the PS3 considered FF14 an exclusive even though its also coming out for PC. =P

It's good to see that Sony is atleast trying to do something about the way publishers think about the PS3 and trying to get some sort of exclusive content on their system. |
I like my Xbox 360 alot, but that guy is a major douche.
Wagram said: It is interesting to note how he said that MSFT runs to 3rd parties for exclusives while Sony makes them with their first parties. Very interesting point that may possibly hurt MSFT next gen. |
Also interesting is that he then adds Agent and FFXIV as exclusives.
None of those games' devs are first party afaik

If by "doomed from the start" you mean expected to dominate and completely outsell the competition (a la the PS1 and PS2) then yeah I agree with you. Sony gave basically gave a big F*ck You to all of their fans and priced that bastard at $600 and basically said get a second job if you can't afford one. That's why they ended up in last place.

Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Oh definitely, I hate him too. I would like to think that even the hardcore 360 fans hate his guts too....a man can dream.
I knew the guy was joking when he said that FFXIV is an exclusive.
Anybody smell a Brandon Jennings?
You guys are missing the most important thing here!
There's gonna be another Destination PlayStation! Last year they announced LBP PSP, MS PSP, AC PSP, and a whole slew of release dates at DPS. The year before that they announced the God of War PSP bundle.
