This is a portion of a review of Flight Simulator X, using a pair of 400$ VR glasses with head tracking. Everything this new Virtual Boy could be:

I've picked a lot of nits, and at this stage I've been wrestling with drivers and trying to put a shirt over my head to block out incoming light. I'm kind of cranky that way. All of that annoyance was gone, as I found myself inside the cockpit. Like, inside it. I look down and see the instrument panel. I look left and see out the window. I look up and see the rivets holding the metal plates of the plane together. I took off, looked out the right window over the empty seat, and banked hard so I could see the ocean beneath me. Amazing. The sense of flight and actually being there is almost overwhelming."

There's no question it would be an amazing tech to use on the Wii and something else unique on the platform that neither Microsoft or Sony could offer so fast.

This is a fishing game with a wiimote knock-off for PC and using the same glasses as the post above.

Now that I saw this I don't find the tech that impressive, honestly.

While the fishing game seems not very fun, the tech is interesting.

Let me just say as a video game player I am more excited about VR than I am about 3D ie. Avatar.
When I will be completely surrounded by video of the game then that is when gaming makes the next big leap for me.

The 3D in Avatar was ok but way overrated.

I just dont think Ninty would go the way of a better Virtualboy.

why not they have always talked about getting rid of the constraints the TV has and VB is the perfect tool for it.

I have been thinking they would go this way for a while now (I thought this would be one of the suprises for the next gen) and I really hope it´s true, the first step needs to be taken as soon as possible so it can evolve before I am to old to lift a controller.
