A little Elf character. Could you imagine it?
Kratos is now part of the muscle that is PlayStation, but the main God of War character wasn't always the broad and brutal figure that we all know today.
"I think it took us a year and a half to come up with Kratos" said series art director Ken Feldman in the latest issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine. "That was the most difficult thing"
He then revealed the character that was first thought of for the role: "Everything has to be based around this character - the story, the weapons. The first guy we came up with was a little elf character, he was hysterical. His animations looked like Disney"
Thankfully, Kratos was the man to make God of War what it is today, and he returns in God of War III next month in one of the biggest blockbusters of 2010.
