Forums - Nintendo Discussion - A few things I would like to see in the 5th Generation of Pokémon.

- Just make HMs unusable in battle and completely seperate from the main moveset pools.
- Make the battles faster; boot up Pokemon RBY / GSC / RSE and notice the difference in the speed, almost lag-like.
- No more legendaries! 4th gen had like 20, it's ridiculous! Experienced players don't use them anyway.
- No more cliches. Not another Haunted Tower, Safari Zone, Mall, Game Corner. Innovate.
- More selective evolution. Gotta love having the choice between Glaile and Froslass.
- A bit more epic storyline. Nothing brutal or violent, just a bit more focused and less ridiculous (especially 4th gen team galactic was awful)

Uncharted 2 is a massively improved sequel. Can't say the same for any Pokemon game.

If Pokemon 5 turns out in line with your low expectations it will be a rehash of a rehash of a rehash of rehash. On top of that, every rehash gets rehashed two years later with a new legendary and new name and THEN there's the remakes of Red/Blue and Gold/Silver!

I like Pokemon but I'm not an idiot. I'm not gonna buy the same game AGAIN. Let's hope Nintendo are more ambitious than you lot with this game.

There is no chance that this game will come out on DS or DSi.
Mark my words this will be a Launch title(in japan at least) for "DS2" or what ever the next nintendo portable is..mark them words boys

I completely agree with most of your thoughts (2. 3, 4, 5, 7 and 9), but what I really need (more than anything else) in the next Pokémon is: No cheaters.

as far as i remember nintendo only said that they are announcing a mainline pokemon game this year, they didnt say for what platform.

and even if they do announce it for the DS i think its only there to promote the DS but they dont intend for it to come out for the DS, but rather the next nintendo portable.

[I think it doesn't makes any sense. They wouldn't fool anyone, but they could make a "DS2" version or the next portable can have retrocompatibility.]
