This is Pokemon, it's targeted to children in the 10-14 range as a whole, despite that in the depth it has very complex mechanics targeted to the older, more dedicated players... it's going to be a long time before we don't have kids of that age... I'd see some spinoff having a bit more serious approach, but not the main series.

Just make thing a bit faster, Nintendo. The battle system is way deeper than most RPGs out there, it's just awful to play like this:

"It started to rain!" - click
"It's raining!" - click
"Your Staravia's intimidate cut the foe's" - click
"Attack" - click
"God-awful Pokemon screech" - finally do battle

Blood, horror, "mature" story? WTF, are your friend at school making fun of you for playing Pokemon and you want it to change for them to stop or something? No offense but taking advice in game design to fit what is considered EPIC by teenagers don't make much sense, it's like following fashion, it work for a while then it become a laughing stock, just look at the 80s. Either stop playing them and come back in a few years to find the game blissfully unchanged or growth some ball and tell the other kids to go make their fist better acquainted with their anus.

.....really??? this would ruin sales. As soon as parents found out blood in Pokemon bye bye sales. Pokemon is not about blood and guts in any way. It just would not fit the games. If that is what you are looking for you might just have the wrong Handheld.

I am 28 and am happy with the Pokemon games I have as they are. Of course almost every game could be a little better in some way.

The main character should realize they are making their pets fight, burn other pets, etc... I mean its just animal cruelty xD.

Honestly, you should realize pokemon is made for children and believe me, just having violence is enough for some parents to not buy their kids a game, now imagine they add blood, mutilation, etc...

The sizes of the Pokémon in the cartoon is totally wrong, most of the time. Anyone who's played the Pokémon Stadium games knows that.
