Mount and Blade is a sandbox, Medieval RPG that strives for realism.  Weapons include everything from crossbows to claymores and even the horse you are riding on. You also have command over your companions (which eventually becomes an army).  For those like me who learn to play games on the fly, the default command is charge, so if your army is destroyed because your archers charged into a wall of spearmen, its your fault.  I've had a lot of fun with the game, and an expansion is coming out in March that will allow for more variety in single player and 64 player online battles.
