I wish they would go back to the oldschool formula, but NO, I was not dissapointed. IMO RE5 is an extremely underrated game, and it deserves every sale its getting. It was a natural course for the game to evolve, and it was a pretty damn great evolution if you ask me

I say 'no'.

Resident Evil 5 was excellent, a very enjoyable ride while it lasted. Nobody should be expecting a 'survival horror', as the series has broken away from that since the fourth game. Resident Evil 5 followed the fourth one, overall, it was a great game. The only thing I didn't like was the aggressive looking models, who always looked like they were fighting against there words as they spoke to each other, strange...?????

I'll give you a surprise right here:

what the fuck is that shit? oh and

stray bullets for the fucking loose.

For an third person shooter with "Zombies" it was good but as a horror survival game it wasn't.

I hated it. The co-op was the only reason I slighlty enjoyed the game with my room mate but it's not a survival horror game anymore. Worse off it's not even that good of an action game! The fighting mechanics and shooting are just awful. You can't move and shoot, the melee is horrible if a zombie moves or if you stop too far away from the enemy. It trys to be something RE isn't but fails.

Like I said, the fourth one wasn't survival horror, so why expect the fifth one to be???? RE is now an 'Action Adventure' game. Also, the controls haven't been changed, as Capcom mentioned they wanted to make people stumble and panic when confronted by a number of enemies. There was alot worse games than RE5 last year.

I played RE4 Wii Edition with IR pointing and other small motion such as the knife, which is very useful, and then going back to dual analog was a huge throwback.

Also the game feels like it is a mere graphical upgrade from RE4.

I'll say it was disappointing but it was underrated at the same time.
It was disappointing compared to Re4, much more shorter, more linear, easier, not as well balanced beetween action and survival elements, Re4 boss battles were better and all....but It was still one of the most fun games of 2009, I also liked the co-op mode very much.

Yes. The teamwork aspect with the AI doesn't really live up to expectations.

Who's the best Pac, Nas, and Big. Just leave it to that.

Not really. It was a great game but it lacked scares and a feeling of hopelessness. But Chris has been fighting "zombies" for so long, I guess it's only natural that he got good at it. I didn't really enjoy the demo but I replyed the game at least six times.
