now the sales are not as good for these gams i mentioned but i never said that in my OP all im trying to say is id rather have sony participate in making new franchises that are good quality games and so far theyve done that

Little Big Planet (goty)

Resistance

Motor Storm

MLB The Show

Warhawk (will definitely get a sequel)

White Knight Chronicles (sequel almost done in Japan)

M.A.G (you can bet this will go on)

Releasing soon (with franchise potential):

They may not seem big to you 'cause you're a shameless fanatic perhaps blinded by bad taste, but all of those are great to good games (look at gamerankings and metacritic) and have sold pretty well and you WILL see more of them AND THEY WILL STAY EXCLUSIVE. I included ONLY FIRST-PARTY titles, or I could've thrown in stuff like Valkyria Chronicles, but it's best not to include third party stuff since for those we never know and in this day and age it'll be quite rare to see a third-party franchise stay exclusive to a console.

 

So what NEW franchises does the X360 have this gen?

Gears of War (a THIRD-party franchise, very likely to go multi-console SOMEDAY and the 1st game is available on PC) (goty)

Left 4 Dead (a THIRD-party franchise, very likely to go multi-console SOMEDAY and it's available on PC)

Mass Effect  (a THIRD-party franchise, very likely to go multi-console SOMEDAY and it's available on PC)

Crackdown

Am I missing something, because I think that pretty much is all of them? and out of those Gears is big, L4D is above average for FPS, but the other two? just ME2 for now.

Ya can't believe people are ignoring/not getting kowens point.

None of the new Sony IPS this gen are bigger than GTAIV, FF or Modern Warfare.

How is that difficult?

Yes it is! You just mis-interpreted it...somehow.  How anyone confuses 'big' with quality is beyond me.

Pretty much, and like I said, Uncharted is not even as "big" as FF, GTA, MGS. I wouldn't say they have franchises bigger than any of those, from a sales perspective, but they have created new and big franchises this gen, which he initially seemed to ignore. However, I agree, none of the mentioned franchises have been eclipsed by a Sony exclusive this gen, that's obvious. He didn't mention them intially though, which is where the confusion spawned.

Ah ok, well I would say Sony have 2, Uncharted and Little Big Planet. Given bundles I wouldn't say Motorstorm or Resistance are big tbh, oh killzone, think it's bordering on being a big franchise, will have to see what K3 does.

all those game i listed are in fact BIG to certain people they may view games like LBP Uncharted Infamous ect to be more BIG to them than games like MGS FF GTA ect. b/c they may not be fans of those games or the series is starting to get old on them

i know im having more fun playing U2 online than i did with any MGS game i've played and some can say the same about LBP Infamous MLB ect b/c thats there genre and the amount of quality and polish in those games are on a high level

Well, that could be said for any game no? I feel Mortal Kombat is BIG to me. But it certainly isn't for sales lol

I think the main point is, GTA and MW2 exclusive to PS3 would have done more damage than Uncharted and LBP.
